Eric CANTONA's first goal

Cantona's first professional club was Auxerre, where he spent two years in the youth team before making his début on 5 November 1983, in a 4–0 league victory over Nancy. In this game his association with polish striker Andrezj Szarmach was brilliant. Cantona came into the game at the 67' minute in a very close game (1-0 for Auxerre) and than Szarmach scored and hat-trick for a large victory. In this season Cantona played another game with Szarmach for another victory despite, the young french forward didn't play anymore with the professional in this 1983/84 season.  But one reason that is in 1984 his footballing career was put on hold as he carried out his national service. He came back at the end of the 1984/85 season and now he played with Patrice Garande (Caen's manager today) in Auxerre's forwards line. In the end of the season, Cantona played 6 games in division 1. Most of them as a starter like the 14th may 1985 at Rouen. FOr the 36th day of the season, Auxerre made an easy trip in Normandy with a poorly placed team who had benne relegated in second division at the end of this 1984/85 season. Auxerre led 1-0 in the first half and at the 64th minute Eric CANTONA scored his first professional goal. With an assist by french international former Jean-Marc Ferreri, Cantona dribbled Rouen's goalkeeper with the help of an impressive muddy pitch. Here it comes the video of Cantona's first goal and sorry I' haven't better quality :
