Best Knockout in football history ?

Olivier Bernard is a French former footballer. Bernard made his name during his first spell with Newcastle United, after joining on a free transfer from Lyon in late-August 2000. Olivier Bernard's Premiership debut was pure theatre. The famed leading man drops out only two hours before curtain-up and an unknown understudy triumphs before exiting to a standing ovation. A star is born? That would be premature, but Newcastle's own Lord Olivier certainly displayed no first-night nerves as the stand-in for the £10m winger Laurent Robert. Bernard scored a memorable goal and stretched Blackburn sufficiently with his pace, balance and direct style to leave his manager Bobby Robson with a difficult decision when Robert is healthy again. Bernard's sudden emergence could not have been predicted last season when, as Robson admitted: "He was a long way from the first team." Then the two countrymen Olivier Bernard and Laurent Robert were in competition and Bobby Robson decided to formed a partenrship between them. They played together and formed a strong left flank partnership but remember this play vs Leicester City. Laurent Robert had one of the hardest shots in the League. So when you get hit by one in the head from just ten yards away, it is going to hurt. This would've been funny even without Bernard's attempts to stay upright before staggering backwards and finally finding the floor. Robert was reportedly unhappy with Bernard's poor play before that, so hit the ball as hard as he could, Bernard's head just got in the way !
