Club Deportes Kokorico Tolima 1981

Last week we saw a huge topic on Colombian Football with James RODRIGUEZ & Radamel FALCAO's fathers. In this topic we saw that the two famous fathers played in the seam team in 1987 : The Deportes Tolima. This club as the McDonald's Vienna FC in 1991-92 changed its name in 1981 (From 1981 to 1983) and became the Kokorico Tolima. Like the Austrian club it was for a Sponsorship question. And I'm sure you recognize the Trademark of this big K on the uniform....It's a Colombian Fast Food restaurant and the speciality is the chicken : http://www.kokoriko.com.co/
And now the stickers of the complete ream of the Kokorico Tolima 1981:

  1. Also in Colombia, Once Caldas (Libertadores Cup champions in 2004), had different names under different sponsors : Cristal Caldas (71-79, 83-90 for a local alcoholic drink), Varta Caldas (80-82 for a battery factory), Once Philips (91-93 for the local branch of the dutch company)

  2. Thanks to the page to rescue our glorious history.

Recall that this computer has this name because advertising rights Robayo Eduardo Ferro (owner of Fast Food Chain Kokoriko), who is the acquire Gabriel Camargo Salamanca (at that time, shareholder of Club). Through this, the money needed to bring big players from Argentina and Paraguay (mostly) over a base of Colombian players who had great conditions is obtained. In addition, the playing style implemented by Ricardo de Leon, Juan Mujica and Pedro Nel Ospina (known as Pressing - derivation of Total Football), let him be runner-Colombian Football twice (1981-1982) and a great debut Copa Libertadores (being a semifinalist).

Great memories of better Deportes Tolima of all time, without being champion, the hearts of Tolimenses and Colombian won!
