UK Football Team - Everton FC 1991

The 31st October 1990 Everton sack manager Colin Harvey after their worst start to a league season leaves them third from bottom in the First Division. One week later Howard Kendall leaves Manchester City to begin his second spell as Everton manager. With Howard Kendall the blues made a spectacular ascent, they won at Old Trafford the 2nd march 1991 over the Red Devils (2-0) for the first appearance of young Ryan Giggs ! But the greatest moment of tofees' season was in the fifth round of the FA Cup. It was one of the most exhilarating nights in FA Cup history. Liverpool and Everton had drawn 0-0 at Anfield three days earlier to take their fight for a quarter-final place to a replay. In more than two hours of football, there were goals and gaffes galore for an outsanding 4-4 game ! Two days later, Kenny Dalglish quits and Liverpool fans are stunned ! One week later in the final replay, Everton beats Liverpool 1-0. Have a look on this outstanding game at Goodison Park :
